A reminder of the tries:
Dan Sheehan v Western Force
The Lions wasted no time in getting up and running on Australian soil, with Dan Sheehan crossing for a stunning score in Perth after just one minute and 35 seconds. It was beautifully worked with Finn Russell picking out Sheehan, who was captaining the side, who then fed inside to James Lowe.
The winger then got the ball to his hooker with a neat offload while drawing two men and Sheehan coasted over to get the Lions on the board.
Sione Tuipulotu v Australia (first Test)
If the Lions needed less than two minutes to get a first try in Australia, they had to wait a little longer for their first against the Wallabies.
Still, Sione Tuipulotu’s try eight minutes into the series put the Lions in a strong position in Brisbane.
Following a powerful surge by Ellis Genge, Jamison Gibson-Park found himself scragged at the breakdown but was able to get the ball to Tadhg Furlong. The tighthead prop in turn popped it back to Finn Russell who had plenty of options. Shaping to kick out wide, he then threw a beautiful miss-pass to international colleague Tuipulotu, who crashed through untouched.
The Lions did not look back on their way to a 27-19 victory.
Tomos Williams v Western Force
Tomos Williams will have bittersweet memories of his second try against the Western Force, which was a brilliant team effort but also his final contribution to the Lions in 2025.
The Wales scrum-half was heavily involved with a try that started when Mack Hansen burst through a gap before offloading to James Lowe.
Lowe released Williams around halfway and after the pair exchanged passes once again, the scrum-half dived over in the corner, straining his hamstring in the process.
Garry Ringrose v Brumbies
In the penultimate tour match before the start of the Test series, the Lions took on the Brumbies in Canberra in a back-and-forth affair.
Leading by nine points at the break, the Lions pulled away early in the second half thanks to a brilliant try from Garry Ringrose
Receiving the ball from Finn Russell, the Ireland centre ran hard at the line before dummying the pass outside to Marcus Smith.
That opened up a gap for him to burst through, and after then releasing Smith, the fly-half put in a perfect grubber that Ringrose was fastest to, collecting and dotting down.
Hugo Keenan v Australia (second Test)
It just had to be in there. For importance, it is hard to think of many Lions tries down the years which have had a greater impact than Hugo Keenan’s match-winning try at the MCG.
With the Lions trailing 26-24 and Australia defending for their lives, Finn Russell found himself 10 metres out and slipping under the relentless rush.
He popped the ball to James Ryan, who made a valuable couple of metres before Jac Morgan’s clearout ensured quick ball. Jamison Gibson-Park then spread the ball to Keenan who stood up Len Ikitau and dived over for the try that clinched the series.
