Not many can match 2025 British & Irish Lions tourist Darcy Graham when he is at his electric best.
Nephew to former Scotland lock Scott MacLeod, Graham first burst onto the scene with a series of dazzling displays for club and country during the 2018/19 season.
Capable of covering full-back and wing, Graham ended that campaign with seven tries and delivered back-to-back scores against Top 14 duo RC Toulon and Montpellier in the Champions Cup to help Edinburgh reach the quarter-finals.
But it was his performance against England in the 2019 Six Nations that announced him to the international arena, twice crossing the whitewash to help Scotland retain the Calcutta Cup after a pulsating 38-38 draw at Twickenham.
Since then, the fleet-footed star has continued to deliver for his country, recording 31 tries in 47 caps.
In 2022, Graham scored four tries in as many games during the Autumn Nations Series and repeated the feat at the 2023 Rugby World Cup, including a hat-trick against Romania.
Only his teammate for club and country and fellow Lion Duhan van der Merwe has registered more tries for Scotland and the duo posed questions to defences on the 2025 Tour Down Under.
Legend has it that rugby was invented when William Webb Ellis picked up the ball and ran with it during a football match in 1823. Whether that tale has any truth to it is a question for historians to answer, but what's known for certain is that it is how Graham got his start.
He said: “My mum took me to football for the first time and when the ball came to me, I picked it up and just took off.
“The boys were raging so I got chucked in goal for the rest of the training session! But that's where it set in and that's where I fell in love with the game.”
Prior to signing for Edinburgh, Graham represented local club Hawick Wanderers, with whom he reached the 2015 Scottish Cup final.
The Scot has since ticked off another milestone; selection for The British & Irish Lions, becoming one of 11 from his country to pull on the red jersey in Australia, though his sole Tour appearance was brought to an end after 16 minutes due to injury.
