What is the Lions coaching staff?
Since being announced as the Lions Head Coach in January 2024, Farrell has gone about building a support team who will join him in Australia for the Tour.
David Nucifora has been appointed General Manager, Performance, while Aled Walters is on board as Head of Athletic Performance, with Vinny Hammond serving as Head of Analysis.
More recently, Farrell has also chosen a group of Assistant Coaches who will support him on tour. Ireland quartet John Fogarty, Andrew Goodman, Simon Easterby and Johnny Sexton will all head to Australia, with the latter two having Lions experience as players before going into to coaching. They will be joined by England’s Richard Wigglesworth and John Dalziel of Scotland.
What is the Lions schedule?
The Lions will play 10 matches in all on the 2025 Tour, starting with a home clash against Argentina on June 20 in Dublin, with the teams playing for the 1888 Cup.
The squad will then fly out to Australia for Tour matches against the Western Force, Queensland Reds, NSW Waratahs and the ACT Brumbies before a match against an Invitational Australia/New Zealand team a week out from the first Test.
That opening fixture against the Wallabies will come on July 19 in Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium, followed by a clash with a First Nations & Pasifika XV the following Tuesday.
The second Test against the Wallabies will be at the MCG in Melbourne before the series finishes up in Sydney at Accor Stadium.
