The British & Irish Lions played out a thrilling opening fixture in the 1888 Cup against Argentina in Dublin.

It was Los Pumas who triumphed at the Aviva Stadium, with Santiago Cordero's fine try earning them a 28-24 victory.

The Lions scored three tries of their own, through Bundee Aki, a penalty score and Tadhg Beirne and will now head Down Under.
