The JAECOO PWR is ready to 'level up' and take women's rugby to new heights as the 2026/27 season kicks off on November 20.
Launching its new season campaign, returning to 'The Home of Heroes' theme on which its post-World Cup identity has been built, the JAECOO PWR is sending a clear message: its momentum is undimmed, its ambitions are bigger than ever, and the world's leading domestic women's rugby competition is only getting started.
With the new season kicking off on November 20, the JAECOO PWR is preparing for what promises to be its biggest and most exciting season to date, bringing together the very best players in the world, all of the World Champion Red Roses and an ever-growing cast of international superstars.
The new campaign takes inspiration from the world of arcade gaming to celebrate the extraordinary talent, personalities and performances that make the JAECOO PWR special. But while the campaign may have a playful nod to the gaming world, the ambition behind it is deadly serious: to establish PWR as the undisputed home of the world's best women's rugby.
For JAECOO PWR Executive Chair Genevieve Shore, the message is simple: the competition is going from strength to strength, and there is no intention of taking its foot off the accelerator.
"Women's rugby is moving at an incredible pace, and the JAECOO PWR is right at the heart of that growth. We genuinely believe we have the best women's rugby competition in the world, and we're determined to keep raising the bar.
"We're not slowing down. If anything, we're accelerating. This season is about taking everything we've built and making it bigger, better and more ambitious. We have the best players in the world competing in our league, all of the Red Roses, the most exciting emerging talent in the game, and clubs that are continuing to invest in making this competition truly world-class.
"There's a real sense that the JAECOO PWR is now the undisputed destination for the very best players in women's rugby. That's something we should be incredibly proud of, but also something we have to keep working hard to deliver."
That international appeal will be further underlined this season by the arrival of New Zealand superstar Ruby Tui at Trailfinders Women, who features in the ‘Level Up’ campaign video. One of the most recognisable and charismatic figures in the global game, Tui's addition is another statement of intent for a competition increasingly attracting the biggest names in world rugby.
Shore believes that bringing together such an extraordinary collection of talent is central to the leagues growing reputation.
"Having someone of Ruby Tui's calibre coming into the league is fantastic. She's a world-class player, a huge personality and exactly the sort of talent that makes our competition so compelling. She'll bring something special to Trailfinders and to the JAECOO PWR as a whole. We are delighted she agreed to feature in our season launch campaign.
"But it's about much more than individual signings. Week in, week out, fans can watch the best players in the world going head-to-head, including the Red Roses who have taken women's rugby to new heights in this country over the past few years. The depth of talent across our clubs is exceptional, and the quality of rugby is only going to get better.
"We want supporters to know that when they watch the JAECOO PWR, they're watching the very best of the women's game."
The new season will also see the defending champions Saracens return with the target firmly on their backs, as the nine JAECOO PWR clubs prepare to battle for domestic supremacy. And there is already a familiar destination in sight for those with ambitions of lifting the ultimate prize.
For the second consecutive season, the JAECOO PWR Final will be contested at the iconic Twickenham Stoop, providing a fitting stage for the culmination of another season of elite competition.
Beyond the immediate excitement of the new campaign, the JAECOO PWR's ambitions are also firmly focused on the future of the international game. With the first-ever British & Irish Lions women's series scheduled for 2027, the league is poised to play an increasingly important role in developing the players, talent and depth that will help shape this historic moment.
For Shore, the prospect of the Lions series is another indication of just how far the women's game has come - and how much further it can go.
"The first-ever British & Irish Lions women's series in 2027 is going to be an extraordinary moment for our sport. It's another huge milestone for women's rugby and something that everyone involved in the game should be excited about.
"The JAECOO PWR will have a really important role to play in that journey. Our clubs are providing the environment in which the very best players can develop, compete and perform at the highest level. We want to be producing Lions, international stars and the next generation of heroes.
"What's exciting is that we're not talking about what women's rugby might become any more. We're seeing it happen in front of us. The crowds, the quality, the investment, the players and the ambition are all moving in the right direction.
"Our job is to keep pushing. We want to be recognised around the world as the best league in the world, and we want to make sure that every season gives supporters another reason to fall in love with the competition, our clubs and our athletes."
With the new season just around the corner, the message from the JAECOO PWR is unmistakable. The game is growing, the talent is extraordinary and the competition is ready for its next evolution.
The Home of Heroes is back. And this season, the JAECOO PWR is levelling up.
The new JAECOO PWR season begins on November 20.
